Give someone permission to discuss your tenancy

You may want to give advocacy consent to a trusted friend, relative, or support agency so they can discuss your tenancy on your behalf.

When giving someone advocacy consent, you can choose:

• which parts of your tenancy the other person has permission to discuss with us (for example repairs, your rent account or a current housing application)
• how long you want to give this permission for

How to give permission

By post or in person

To give permanent advocacy consent to someone, you must fill in and return the Advocacy consent form. 

Visit your local Community Hub or Housing Office to pick up a form, or print, complete and return your form to one of these locations.

If you cannot use the form

If you cannot use the form, email HousingEnquiries@leeds.gov.uk.   

By phone

You can give someone temporary advocacy consent over the phone. We will ask you some questions to confirm your identity.
