How to report an abandoned shopping trolley

Supermarkets are responsible for removing their own trolleys from public areas.

Contact the supermarket directly

The supermarket who owns the trolley will arrange to remove it within 2 weeks. You will need to let them know:

  • where you saw the trolley
  • the time and date you saw the trolley

If the shopping trolley is not collected within 2 weeks of reporting it

The supermarket has 2 weeks to collect their abandoned shopping trolley. Contact us if it has not been collected.  

We can also collect trolleys where it is not clear which supermarket they belong to.
