Get involved with your local community committee. Speak with local councillors and have your say on decisions made in your neighbourhood.
There are 10 community committees across Leeds. Each committee represents a different part of the city and is made up of local councillors from the wards in that area. Find your local community committee.
It's their job to make sure local people have a say in decisions about what happens in their neighbourhoods.
The committees also allocate money to fund community projects and youth activities. Find out how to apply for funding.
Committees hold local debates on decisions about:
You can get involved and join debates in the following ways.
Each committee holds 4 business meetings a year. These are a way for you to join debates on issues that are important to your community and play a part in decision making.
All meetings are open to the public and are usually themed around a topic. They usually start in the early evening and last for a couple of hours.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic our meetings are held over Zoom and broadcast online.
While the public are not invited to speak at online meetings, they can still view the live broadcast or submit a question in advance.
We'll publish web links to the meeting broadcasts on each community committee's web page and Facebook page, along with upcoming meeting dates and records of previous meetings.
Find your local community committee's meeting details and web pages.
Each online meeting will hear 3 questions or topics submitted by the public.
If there are more than 3 submitted, the extra questions will be heard at the next meeting. If an issue is urgent, the committee chair can request that it is dealt with outside of the committee meeting.

Submit your question or topic by email, to the Community Committee Support Team.
We will contact you after the meeting to tell you the outcome or next steps agreed by the committee.
Each community committee has their own Facebook page. You can comment, share and stay updated about meetings and what's going on in your local community.
Elected councillors from your ward will be a part of your local community committee.
You can contact your elected councillors about community committee topics and local issues.
Each community committee has a yearly budget to give grants to community projects and youth activities that will benefit the local area.
